Apple iTunes Music and how it changed the face of the Free Mp3 industry

Published on April 28th, 2011 in iPod

It is hard keeping up with technology but one thing is for sure, if you have not already gone digital then you are being left behind. It seems like only last week that CD and DVD were the breakthrough format, but now in an age of MP3 and digitally formatted music and video it is time to look at where we are heading and who is best aligned to take us there.

These portable video players make it easier for you to take the A/V excitement out from your house onto the road. Portable video players are getting smaller, lighter weight and also at the same time more advanced.

Without doubt the most advanced media player at this time is the series from Apple with the range of free songs for your iPod seemingly endless. And that’s just the start of what the i series offers.

Portable DVD players are a thing of the past, and although you can still buy them, the dramatic drop in price is evidence enough that this is a dying technology. SO you have always been able to play music on your portable device, but if you wanted any other type of media then you needed a portable DVD player, and now matter how advanced they got, they were never going to get that small.

Portable DVD players were a hit also because you could plug them into an external monitor. The same is true with nearly all portable digital music and media players but this time around the quality is a hundred times better and you can put your entire video collection on one player.

These usually include a headphone output plus a wide variety of digital and analog outputs for other connection possibilities.

Now of course this has all changed because with media going digital it meant you could store a whole lot of data on one small player.

There are even portable video players especially designed to be used inside a car some of which could be installed and others can be hooked up for long road trips or put away for regular about town driving.

Although Apple provide a relatively good quality pair of headphones with their iPhone and iPod range I would still recommend purchasing a pair. A high quality pair of headphones can really make a huge difference to the sound and picture quality being received.

What is the point in buying a top quality product from Apple or anyone for that matter only to go and listen to the music and watch the movie with less than top quality headphones providing that sound?

When looking at where the digital media age is heading I definitely think Apple are in the best position to take us forward from here. I recommend Apple as the company to take us in to the future. range of music players and the advances in iTunes and the App store it is surprising that anyone else can even think to keep up.
